[Paparazzi - Dirty Mix]

Nice Remix

It's a great Lady GaGa remix with a pretty great beat and structure. Honestly it would be one of my favorite GaGa remixes if only you could EQ more (the bass overpowered everything else when I listened to it).

But besides the EQ issue, I would definitely listen to this several times in a row before checking out what else you have!

Just Awesome

The beat is a great selection, but what really got my attention was the Auto-tuned lyrics. By now, there are those who feel that Auto-Tune is just overused (and it is), but this song is one of those exceptions where Auto-Tune is necessary. It's necessary in my opinion because it contributes to the mood, the rhythm, you name it.

The flow is basic, yet easy on the ears. The Auto-Tune effect is used a lot, but it's used properly (though personally I'm not sure how you do this) and sounds good. And overall, everything just came together and worked.

Good job man and keep up the good work. Those lyrics are really deep.

[Spanish_Guitar [Box-Killa]]

Pretty Impressive

Your improvised session with the Spanish guitar is really great to listen to and is a nice change of pace around Newgrounds. Usually when I hear a Spanish guitar, it's at a faster tempo and more light-hearted. Your session is slower (which is a compliment) and more heart-felt, giving the listener a sense of your emotions with each string. It may be the fact that you can't go extremely fast, you if you're just intentionally going slower than normal, but it doesn't mean this doesn't deserve anything lower than a 10.

Amazing

I've enjoyed your arrangement, which is simple yet powerful. The strings are magnificant (and it's not because I have a fetish for strings). They're able to convey this sense of "higher order" and uncertainty all on their own (at least I got this sense. I'm sure others will develop their own). The strings are never repetitive or rigid throughout the piece. And what I find to be entirely amazing, is that it's all done with only strings (well, it's a midi, but still).

It's a great arrangement, and I hope your other works will be as satisfying and enjoyable as this.

That's One Hell of a Beat

I have to agree with Rockylightning, this song is powerful. Immediately, you could tell how independent the instrumental is. The beat isn't a burden, and it establishes a story. The hook is simple, yet effective. The percussion (hi-hats and bass) were pretty nice. The rhythm was perfect for a song like this, and I can easily imagine a rapper like Jay-Z or DMX using this.

[Elements Of Sublimity]

Nifty

It's pretty amazing what people can do with instruments. Not everyone can produce an entertaining piece with replayability and longevity. But this song proves me wrong, with it's combination of guitar, strings, synths, and percussion.

I love how one sound builds up to this huge, grand piece which envelops you in this tense environment of urgency. From 0:47 to 0:49, you can sense a transition from preparation to action (although the transition is a little rough). At 1:53, you can feel a brief sense of peace, like being in the eye of a hurricane. Then after a minute, it's back to the sense of action.

Personally, I love that part from 1:53-2:52. But I also loved the subtle things, like Animith said. The additions of new instruments that blend in, before a string takes over, is welcome. This sounds pretty professional in my opinion, though I'm not a huge fan of the structure (it occassionally transitions to a part that doesn't live up to what the main rhythm and beat created: the setting).

Still, I could see this at the conclusion of a flash movie, where the protagonist savors the moment, but is aware that danger might come again (setting up a sequel). I could imagine hearing this in a montage scene where everyone is preparing for a huge battle, etc. It's that epic, and I hope you make more music like this!

Marvelous

Animalistic. Primitive. This piece of music instills those themes into the ears of the listener, but in an impressive way.

The song reminds me of the simplistic life of nomads and early civilizations such as Mesopotamia. Specifically, the song reminds me of Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans. How? Why?

Each note from every instrument contributes to this surreal, brilliant melody. The percussions, as Gravey said, were dominant yet humble to the accompaning instruments. The percussions created the ancient, noble vibe of a warrior. The wind instruments added to the sense of grandness, and provided a sense of empathy to the warrior.

This piece was written by a clever mind who paid attention to every detail. This piece was written by a person with great talent. And this piece was uploaded here, where I'm truly glad I came across this (even though the volume isn't as loud).

Flawless

This piece is quite powerful, and its structure is clever and more innovative than any other classical song I've heard.

Your instruments combine to create this beautiful, mysterious song with clarity. The percussion is executed well, and the strings were a little weak, but were stellar nonetheless. What hit me hard, in a good way, were the keyed and woodwind instruments. They have the spotlight in this piece in my opinion.

What mesmerizes me is that this is a loop---a seamless loop. And not only is it that, it's a loop with great structure and integrity.

5/5 and 10/10!!!

The anomalies with the string are most likely due to the fact that during the recomposition of this song from its earlier version, I attempted to change akk the synths in the original to their most similar acoustic counterparts. Some synths were hard to emulate though, and the result was, well, you can kind of tell hahahaha

Thanks for the amazing compliments though, I didn't expect this song to recieve the reception that it did, especially since the ending turned out much weaker than I intended. If you wanna see why, check out the original version. The power in the last section was amazing in that version.

I'm surprised that your favorite portions of the song involved the woodwind and the keyed instruments, especially since I only used a flute, a piano, and an organ from those two families.

Great for Black Mesa: Soucre

The short piece would be an excellent addition to the upcoming Black Mesa: Source mod. The piece captures the essence of overcoming a huge obstacle, or evading a huge attack. It's nice that the length is short, since it's preferable to be short in-game.

Great work! I hope they had accepted your entry. It really does belong in that mod.
